Post Art Net Noob...
Completely new to the Artnet world. We have maxed out our 4 universe on our T2 and looking at moving towards Art Net. The problem is, we have absolutely no idea what we need. We have invested money into a path port system (rack mount, wall nodes), but still unsure as to how to set it up, address it, etc.

Can anyone point us in the right direction?

Whats good? Whats bad? What all do we need to be successful?

Any help or input would be amazing.

Thanks!

So how does that work? ^

Just Run an ethernet cable to it and it provides you 8 more universes? Each out is configurable to any universe you want?

Hi Brock,
Your pathport system will definately work with Vista.

Has someone already set up your pathport system for you?
You need to ensure IP addresses are configured correctly (for both the nodes and vista). Each device should have it's own unique IP address and they should all be on the same subnet. There are some tips on configuring your network in Appendix 3 of the user guide (Page 16-1)

Once it is all networked you can configure the ports on your pathport nodes to receive streaming ACN. This can be done from the face panel on some pathport hardware or through the pathport manager installed on a computer on the same network.

In the connect universes window of vista you would then add as many Streaming ACN universes as required and assign vista universes to these. Further information on this is on page 5-17 of the user guide.
