Post UD512 (-111) Error
When I launch Vista I get the following error message

"Cannot open UD512 device (Error -111)"

Any ideas?

Hi Seth,

There is a technote here (http://jands.com/downloads/vistav2/Tbjlt165.pdf) that explains how to fix this.

Make sure you have the UD 512 disconnected from the host computer when you restart the computer and DO NOT attach it again until Vista has fully booted. I recommend waiting until it is at the "Open Show" screen before attaching it.

Susan,

I ran the FTDI Driver Control to disable the AppleUSBFTDI.kext. Which cleared the "(Error -5)" that I had been experiencing. Are you suggesting that even after downloading that Driver I still need to delete the AppleUSBFTDI.kext?

There may be another USB/Serial driver that's causing the conflict. Possibly installed by another audio / video / lighting programme. The best thing to do is open a Support ticket and send:
- A Mac System report (Apple menu > About this Mac > More info > System Report
- All Byron.log files ) from your VistaData folder
